Annabel Ames serves as the Assistant Principal of Instruction for Upper Elementary at Rocky Mountain Prep: Southwest since July 2018. Previously, Annabel held the position of Third Grade Lead Teacher and Grade-level Chair at Rocky Mountain Prep: Creekside, along with serving as a Second Grade Lead Teacher. Annabel has experience as a Leadership Development Coach for Teach For America, assisting K-8 teachers during summer Pre-Service in Colorado. Annabel's earlier roles include being a Colorado Corps Member with Teach For America, a High School Mentor with The Leon Foundation of Excellence, and various writing and reporting positions with organizations such as Vox Magazine and Columbia Missourian. Annabel is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Denver, having completed a Bachelor's in Journalism, specializing in Magazine Writing and Editing from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
