Christopher Payne has a diverse range of work experience in the field of web development and digital marketing. Christopher began their career in 2012 as a Marketing Intern at Swallow Press. From there, they worked as a Web Master for the Ohio University Alumni Association, where they were responsible for maintaining and updating the organization's website. Christopher also served as an Interim Email Designer & Broadcaster, designing and sending HTML email broadcasts while maintaining the university's branding.
In 2012, Payne joined Ohio University as an Assistant to the Director of Online and Digital Communications. In this role, they played a key role in restructuring website navigation and transferring content to a new site. Christopher also contributed to the creation of a campaign website for a $450 million fundraising initiative.
Payne's career then led him to Rocky Brands, Inc., where they held multiple positions. Christopher started as a Front End Developer in 2013 and worked their way up to become the Director of Digital Web Experience. In this role, they oversaw eCommerce operations and development for both direct-to-consumer and corporate websites. Christopher managed a team of web developers and digital experts, ensuring the successful execution of various digital marketing efforts, including search engine optimization, email marketing, social media, and display advertising campaigns. Christopher also evaluated and implemented emerging technologies and devised new growth strategies.

Christopher Payne attended Pickerington High School Central from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Following this, from 2006 to 2008, they attended Eastland Career Center and completed a Certificate of Program Completion in Multimedia. Between 2008 and 2013, Christopher pursued their undergraduate studies at Ohio University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Visual Communication (BSVC) with a focus on Interactive Multimedia and Music. In 2015, they obtained a Foundation Diploma in Photography from Shaw Academy, and the same year, they also completed the Google Tag Manager Fundamentals certification from Google. In 2020, Christopher obtained the Google Analytics for Beginners certification from Google Analytics Academy. Most recently, in 2022, they completed a program in Digital Project Management at Udacity.
