Jorge Vasquez is currently pursuing a doctorate in Advanced Social Studies at Universidad Central, focusing on environmental grassroots movements in Latin America and the Caribbean. Previously, Jorge worked as an English teacher at Universidad Diego Portales and served as a research assistant at ECLAC. Jorge has also been involved in various research projects related to migration, including a graduate thesis on Venezuelan migrants in South America and a FONDECYT project addressing populism. As a consultant for The World Bank, Jorge emphasized ethno-racial inclusion and interculturality. Additional experience includes coordination of Spanish classes for Haitian immigrants and teaching assistant roles at Universidad Diego Portales. Jorge holds a master's degree in Philosophy and a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Universidad Diego Portales, along with a certificate in Social Sciences from Sciences Po.
