Dong Chen is a Senior Web Engineer at Robinhood since March 2021, with prior experience as a Staff Software Engineer at PayPal, where contributions included the creation of a component explorer for reusable UI components and leadership in P2P web initiatives. Additional roles include Research Intern positions at GE Global Research, focusing on UX and visualization, and IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center, developing visualization tools for machine learning diagnosis. Dong Chen has also served as a Teaching Assistant at Penn State University and a Research Assistant at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, working on air pollution simulation. Dong Chen holds a PhD in Information Sciences and Technology from Penn State University, a master's degree in Earth System Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from Zhejiang University.
