Richard Valenti is currently the Principal at Robert Bird Group. Richard has over 15 years of experience working as a civil/structural engineer.

Richard started their engineering career at Alcan Engineering in 2004, where they worked as a Lead Civil/Structural Engineer for 4 years. Richard then moved to Rio Tinto Alcan, where they worked as a Principal Civil/Structural Engineer for 1 year. In 2008, Richard joined SNC Lavalin as a Lead Civil/Structural Engineer and worked there for 1 year before moving to Maaden, where they worked as a Principal Civil Structural Engineer for 4 years.

Richard has extensive experience in the design and construction of aluminum smelters, mines, and refining plants. Richard is a expert in the use of finite element analysis software, and has been involved in the design of several major projects around the world.

Richard Valenti has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Queensland University of Technology and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) from Queensland Institute of Technology in Civil Engineering.
