Kenneth Nicely has over three decades of experience in the education sector, currently serving as Superintendent of Roanoke County Schools since August 1993. Previous roles within the same district include Assistant Superintendent of Administration, Director of Secondary Instruction and Technology, Principal of Hidden Valley Middle School, and Spanish Teacher at Cave Spring High School. Before joining Roanoke County Schools, Kenneth Nicely worked as the Academy Director and Teacher at Nicaragua Christian Academy International, which Kenneth helped establish. Kenneth Nicely holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Virginia Tech, a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature from William & Mary.
