Sofi Basseghi is a versatile professional with extensive experience in the arts and academia. Since March 2019, Sofi has served as a Lecturer and Sessional Lecturer at RMIT University, contributing to the education of future artists. Alongside academic roles, Sofi has maintained an independent practice as a Visual Artist since January 2010. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Art from RMIT University (2014-2021), a Graduate Diploma in Film and Television (Narrative) with a focus on Directing from the University of Melbourne - Victorian College of the Arts (2011), a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Photography and Video from RMIT University (2006-2007), and a Bachelor of Media Arts (BA.Hons) in Photography and Video from RMIT University (2002-2005).
