Michelle Fitzgerald is an experienced leader in digital strategy and governance, currently serving as Group Chief Digital Officer at St Vincent's Health Australia since January 2022 and as a University Council Member at RMIT University since January 2024. Previously, Michelle held positions such as Non Executive Director at Standards Australia and Chief Digital Officer for the City of Melbourne. Michelle contributed to the G20 Global Smart Cities Alliance as a Committee Member and had a significant tenure at PwC as Partner in PwC Digital. Michelle's career began at Accenture as a Manager in Strategy and includes early experience as a Project Manager in the Confederation of Indian Industry. Michelle Fitzgerald holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Melbourne, completed the Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program at MIT Sloan School of Management, and graduated from the Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors, alongside earning a certificate in Bahasa Indonesia from Universitas Gadjah Mada through a scholarship.
