John Ellis has a diverse work experience, with their most recent role being Managing Director at Newmark since September 2018. Prior to that, they held the same position at RKF starting from May 2011. John also has experience as a Real Estate/Retail Consultant at their own company, John Ellis Consulting, since January 2005. Before that, they served as Director of New Store Development at I Floor Inc. from February 2007 to January 2009. John also worked as North American Channel Manager at ICSI from 2000 to 2005. Early in their career, they held roles as GM at Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, Inc. and as PR/Special Projects at Boston Market, both in 1995.

John Ellis earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1985. In 2005, they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Continuing Studies with a focus on Construction Supervisor License from the Wentworth Institute of Technology.
