Tann Pinney has extensive work experience in the engineering and satellite communication industry. Tann started their career at Hughes Aircraft Company in 1984, where they served in various roles including Deputy Division Director. During this time, they gained experience in advanced signal processing system hardware design, system integration and test, and project management.
In 1997, Pinney joined Motient (formerly American Mobile Satellite Company) as a Senior Program Manager. Tann managed various programs until 2001.
Pinney then worked at AMTI from 2002 to 2006 as a Vice President. Tann'sresponsibilities included managing over 100 people supporting the FAA Global Navigation Systems Group (GNSS) and brokering the resolution of complex customer dissatisfaction resulting in consecutive 100% awards.
From 2006 to 2012, Pinney worked at TerreStar Networks as the VP of Satellite Services. In this role, they managed eight development contracts for five subsystems valued over $750 million. Tann also oversaw the integration, test, and transition to operations of the entire satellite network.
In 2012, Pinney joined RKF Engineering Solutions, LLC as the Chief Program Manager, a position they currently hold.
Tann Pinney pursued an education in Electrical Engineering from 1967 to 1971 at the United States Air Force Academy, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. Following this, in 1978 and 1979, they engaged in MBA studies at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
