Astrid Verheusen currently serves as Directeur Bedrijfsvoering & CIO at RKD - Nederlands Instituut voor Kunstgeschiedenis since May 2023. Prior to this role, Astrid was the Executive Director and Interim Executive Director at LIBER from March 2017 to May 2023. Astrid's extensive experience in the information and library sector includes positions at Koninklijke Bibliotheek from January 2001 to August 2017, where Astrid held various roles including Head of the Innovative Projects Department and Program Manager for the Digital Library Program. Astrid also managed significant budget responsibilities and led numerous digital projects, including national digitization initiatives. Earlier career experiences include working as a Product Manager at Sdu Publishers and a Researcher at the Institute for Dutch History. Astrid holds a Master's degree in History from Leiden University and has participated in leadership development through LIBER Emerging Leaders.
