Shawn Smith currently serves as Associate Director in the Restructuring and Turnaround Services group at Riveron, a national business advisory firm, since January 2020. Smith possesses extensive experience in restructuring and operational improvement, partnering with clients to stabilize businesses and develop strategic plans. Prior to Riveron, Smith was a Partner at Cardinal Industries, Inc., specializing in the strategy for sourcing, acquiring, and operating lower middle market companies from January 2011 to October 2019. Additionally, Smith held the position of Vice President at Cardinal Capital Management, LLC, from July 2007 to December 2010, and began a career as a Business Analyst and Intern at GE Transportation from March 1998 to January 2002. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Penn State University and an ongoing MBA program at the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, expected to complete in April 2024.
