Christina Young has a diverse work experience starting as a Teaching Artist, Program Coordinator, and Actor at Shakespeare & Company in 1999. Christina later worked as a Licensed Clinician at Mountainside Hospital from 2009-2010, followed by a role as a School Counselor at The Hewitt School from 2006-2013. In 2013, they became the Director of Counseling & Health at Riverdale Country School, a position they held until 2017. In 2017, Christina also began working as a Course Instructor at Klingenstein Center, Teachers College, Columbia University. Additionally, they founded Christina Young Consulting in 2017, where they partner with various organizations as a certified facilitator, life coach, and conference organizer. Christina is also a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) at Yoga Alliance since 2002, incorporating yoga practices into leadership and education programs.
Christina Young is currently a doctoral candidate at Columbia University's Teachers College, pursuing an EdD in Organization & Leadership. Previously, they obtained a Master's degree in M.S.Ed from Hunter College in 2008 and a Post-Master's Advanced Counseling Certificate in Mental Health Counseling/Counselor from Montclair State University in 2009. Additionally, they hold various certifications, including being a Board Certified Coach (BCC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey. Young is also a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and a State Certified School Counselor in New Jersey and New York.
