Moges Alemu is an experienced professional specializing in emergency response and project coordination within the agricultural sector. Currently serving as the Emergency Response Field Coordinator at Welthungerhilfe since April 2022, Moges also holds the position of Project Coordinator at Send a Cow since May 2019. Previous roles include Livelihoods Program Officer at Dan Church Aid, where responsibilities encompassed livelihood development for Eritrean refugees and coordinating multiple projects in response to drought conditions. Early career experience includes positions as Horticulturist, Agronomist, and Development Agent at the Ministry of Agriculture in Ethiopia from 1984 to 1996. Moges holds a Bachelor's Degree in Plant Production and Dryland Farming from Hawassa University, a Post Graduate Certificate in Development Policy Planning and Management from the University of Birmingham, and a Diploma in Crop Production and Protection Technology from Alemaya College of Agriculture.
