Paul Ingalls has worked in the software engineering industry since 1993. Paul began their career at Networx Inc. as a Software Engineer. In 1994, they moved to Legent where they worked as a Software Engineer, helping to develop a distributed object environment written in C++. In 1995, they joined Asymetrix as a Software Engineer, helping to design and build a modern nonlinear video editor using Active Movie (now DirectShow) technology. In 1997, they moved to RealNetworks as the Development Manager for the RealArcade group, overseeing the development of the RealArcade internet service. In 2005, they joined Smilebox as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), where they built and ran the development team and defined technical direction. In 2012, they founded and became the CEO of Fanzo, a mobile app that provides sports fans with fast access to the best content available for their team. In 2018, they joined The Attic Learning Community as the Board Treasurer, helping to guide the organization towards its mission. In 2019, they joined Al Jazeera Media Network as the Vice President of Mobile Innovation and Principle Software Engineer, responsible for digital innovation, focusing on the mobile application space and the future of journalistic content dissemination and consumption.
Paul Ingalls attended the University of Notre Dame from 1990 to 1994, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Summa Cum Laude.
