Ronald Sorensen is an experienced metallurgical engineer with a solid background in the mining and processing industries. Currently serving as Chief Advisor Processing - Copper Technical at Rio Tinto since July 2014, Ronald manages the processing technical team that supports Copper Projects and Operations. Prior roles include Manager - Technical and Principal Advisor at Kennecott Utah Copper from September 2010 to July 2014, Technical Superintendent Concentrator at Hecla Greens Creek Mining Company from April 2008 to September 2010, and Chief Metallurgist at Kennecott Greens Creek Mining Company from 1996 to April 2008. Ronald holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Montana Technological University, earned between 1992 and 1996.
