Ravo Rakotoarimanana serves as a Principal Advisor for Geotech Water Tailings and Closure at Rio Tinto since November 2007, managing multiple services including Geology, Hydrogeology, Survey, and Mine Planning with oversight of nine engineers. Previous roles include Superintendent positions in both Geotechnical & Water Management and Mine Planning & Geology, along with experience as a Mine Planner with expertise in scheduling and infrastructure planning. Ravo began a career in geotechnical engineering and field geology, focusing on international standards and geotechnical risk management. Additional experience includes geodatabase management at Rio Tinto QMM and hydrology work at REVA Construction. Ravo's educational background includes various certificates in management, mine financial modeling, database management, and GIS technologies. Membership in SAIMM spanned from 2008 to 2019.
