Patsy Hime is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in strategy and organizational development within the mining and resource sectors. Currently serving as General Manager Strategy and Chief of Staff to the CEO for Copper at Rio Tinto since July 2017, Patsy has developed and implemented a Copper Growth Strategy approved by the Rio Tinto Board, focusing on operational performance and sustainability. Previously, Patsy held various leadership roles, including General Manager Transformation at Rio Tinto, where large-scale transformation initiatives were spearheaded, and Business Development Executive at AlphaWealth, where the Harvest Venture Capital Fund was established. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Labour and Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor of Business Science in Organisational Psychology from the University of Cape Town.
