Laure Baratgin is an accomplished leader in commercial operations within the mining and metals industry, currently serving as the Head of Commercial Operations and Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Copper at Rio Tinto since October 2017. With extensive experience managing global sales and marketing strategies for copper and related products, Laure has previously held significant roles including General Manager for Sales & Marketing of Copper Products and Copper Concentrate at Rio Tinto Alcan, where responsibilities included overseeing commercial activities for a range of products. Laure’s background also includes strategic marketing and business planning roles in aluminium products at Pechiney and Rio Tinto Alcan, demonstrating expertise in market forecasts, pricing strategies, and investment project development. Educational credentials include an Executive MBA from INSEAD and degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington and Grenoble INP - UGA.
