Ana Velasquez is an experienced communications professional with a focus on online harassment and digital journalism. Currently serving as the Press and Online Harassment Coordinator at Right to Be since May 2020, Ana has held various roles including Program and Communications Associate and Communications Consultant. Prior experience includes working as a Research Assistant at Civic Hall and as a Media Genius Master Class Fellow at Weber Shandwick. Ana’s journalistic background includes five years as a Tech Journalist at EL TIEMPO Casa Editorial, where several stories on cybersecurity and online privacy were produced, alongside previous roles in community management and reporting. Ana holds a Digital Marketing Certificate from BrainStation and a Master’s degree in Media Studies focusing on Social Justice from Queens College, alongside additional qualifications in Digital Journalism and Social Communication.
