Girish Jere has a strong background in telecommunications, with extensive experience in various roles and positions. Girish began their career as an R&D Engineer at Scitech Centre in 1996, where they worked until 1997. Girish then joined Hutch as an Assistant Manager Transmission, where they were responsible for planning and designing transmission networks, as well as project management in GSM networks. In 2003, Girish joined ECI Telecom as Head Presales, where they handled solution architecture and design for optical, broadband access, and metro Ethernet. Girish also managed product and solution lifecycles, bid management, and designed national/state optical backbone networks. In 2007, they moved to Ericsson as the General Manager- Technical, a role that they held until 2015. During this time, they gained experience in various technical aspects of the telecommunications industry. In 2015, Girish joined Ribbon Communications as a Sr. Director-Technology, and shortly after started working as the VP Technology at ECI Telecom. Their career trajectory indicates a strong focus on technology and technical leadership in the telecommunications industry.

Girish Jere completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree at Shivaji University from 1992 to 1995.
