Egon Haparnass is a seasoned system architect with extensive experience in network security and L3VPN use-cases, currently employed at Ribbon Communications since February 2023. Prior to this role, Egon served as Principal System Architect at ADVA Optical Networking, where responsibilities included product line feature definition and architecture, focusing on large telecom clients. Previous positions include System Engineer at SanDisk, Director of Product Management at BroadLight, Chief Architect at Toga Networks with emphasis on traffic management chipset architecture, and various roles at Cisco Systems, including Product Manager and ASIC group manager. Egon's career began at LanOptics-EZchip as an engineer and team leader in designing early GE Ethernet switch technologies. Egon holds a BA in Physics from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
