Terrence Smithers has extensive experience in training and consultation on recovery concepts, particularly for individuals with psychiatric diagnoses, with the aim of facilitating their return to employment and supporting peers in recovery processes. Currently serving as Program Director at RI International since March 2005, Terrence has held various roles, including Manager of Training Development and Recovery Services Administrator. Additionally, since October 2015, Terrence has been an Internationally Registered Certified Master ASIST Trainer with Livingworks, Inc. Prior roles include Recovery Education Specialist/Trainer at Recovery Opportunity Center and a range of educational positions, including high school English/publications teacher. Terrence's educational credentials include a Masterā€™s degree in Education from Georgetown University and multiple certifications in mental health training and substance abuse counseling.
