Mike Strauss has over 12 years of professional experience in the military and private sectors. Mike began their career in 2005 as a Mission Commander for Patrol Squadron Nine in the US Navy, where they attained over 1,000 hours of flight time and completed over 60 hazardous missions, resulting in the awards of 3 Air Medals. In 2011, they served as a Foreign Exchange Officer for the Royal Australian Air Force. From 2014 to 2017, they held various roles at Hawaiian Airlines, including Project Coordinator and Portfolio Manager for Congressional Title 10 Programs / Security Cooperation. From 2018 to 2019, they were Director Customer Experience at Blue Hawaiian Helicopters, and from 2019 to 2022, they held roles at Premise, including Senior Solutions Consultant - Public Sector, Director Asia Pacific, Customer Success Manager, and Program Manager. Currently, they are a Product Manager at Rhombus Power Inc.

Mike Strauss received their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Marketing from the University of Arizona. In 2016, they were an APOC 16-1 Fellow at the Daniel K. Inouye Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies (APCSS) in Regional Security Studies. In 2015, they completed the Security Cooperation Management Action Officer Course at the Defense Institute of Security Assistance Management in Security Cooperation / Security Assistance. In addition, they obtained the Duolingo French Fluency: Elementary (Estimated) certification from Duolingo in December 2015 and the Private Aircraft Pilot certification from the Federal Aviation Administration in May 2007.
