Brian Crowder

Systems Operations Manager at RGNext

Brian Crowder has a strong background in IT operations and infrastructure, with experience in various roles and responsibilities. Brian started their career in 2007 as an Information Technology Technician at Progressive Group Alliance, where they maintained and troubleshooted the Avaya/Lucent phone system and assisted with server maintenance and technical issues.

In 2010, Brian joined KRS - Kwajalein Range Services, LLC as a Server Administrator III. Brian utilized PowerShell scripting to automate tasks, including logon scripts, reports, and software installations. Brian also rebuilt the Kwajalein school infrastructure and performed server migrations.

At Ball Aerospace, starting in 2015, Brian worked as a Systems Administrator Sr. Brian provided expertise in VMware solutions and played an important role in getting a $1 million VDI project approved, resulting in significant cost savings.

Brian joined SAIC in 2018 as a Systems Engineer Principal, where they contributed to the transition from standard LUNs to virtual volumes (vVOls) for increased flexibility and reduced operational requirements. Brian also worked on standardizing Cisco UCS servers based on VMware best practices.

In the same year, Brian also worked at KRS - Kwajalein Range Services, LLC as a Systems Architect, providing technical guidance for modernizing IT infrastructure across government networks and redesigning group policy structures.

Most recently, in 2019, Brian joined RGNext as a Systems Operations Manager. Brian led the IT operational team, ensuring security and operational requirements were met. Brian also redesigned VMware vSphere environments to standardize and optimize network maintenance processes.

Overall, Brian has demonstrated strong leadership, project management, and technical expertise throughout their career, with a particular focus on VMware solutions and infrastructure modernization.

Brian Crowder began their education in 2011 when they enrolled at the University of Maryland Global Campus. Brian pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management, completing their studies in 2014.

In 2019, Brian attended Western Governors University, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Information Technology Management. Brian completed this program in 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Brian obtained several certifications. In January 2012, they obtained the A+ certification from CompTIA. In the same month, they also earned the Server+ certification from CompTIA. In March 2014, Brian obtained the Security+ certification from CompTIA.

Brian's certifications from VMware include the VMware Certified Professional 5 - Data Center Virtualization, obtained in May 2014, the VMware Certified Professional 6 - Data Center Virtualization, obtained in April 2016, and the VMware Certified Advanced Professional 6 - Data Center Virtualization, obtained in March 2018.
