Soheil Shayegh is a scientist at RFF-CMCC European Institute on Economics and the Environment (EIEE) since October 2019, focusing on climate change impacts on the economy and evaluating policy options for mitigation and adaptation. Prior roles include Research Fellow at Università Bocconi and Marie Curie fellow at Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei, where Shayegh designed climate policy analysis tools. Experience as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Carnegie Institution for Science involved developing integrated assessment models and evaluating adaptation strategies. Earlier, Shayegh held positions at Georgia Institute of Technology as a Research Assistant and at Engineers for a Sustainable World as Project Coordinator, where significant projects on climate change and waste management were undertaken. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, complemented by advanced degrees in Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, and Civil Engineering.
