Nicholas Bowen has extensive experience in software development, particularly in cloud-based SaaS products. Nicholas'smost recent role was as a Senior Software Developer at Rewind, where they were responsible for developing a serverless project to aggregate stats for backup and restore events. Nicholas utilized various AWS services such as APIGateway, Kinesis, DynamoDB, Lambda functions, and the Serverless framework. Prior to this, Nicholas worked as a Software Developer at Signiant for several years, where they implemented a fully cloud-based service for downloading/streaming files from on-premise and cloud storage locations. Nicholas extensively used AWS services and embraced a microservice-oriented architecture. Nicholas began their career as a CO-OP Student at Signiant and gained experience in RESTful web application development, Java, JavaScript, JSP, HTML, CSS, and frameworks like Jersey, Bootstrap, and Backbone/Marionette. Additionally, they worked as a CO-OP Student at Signiant in 2012, focusing on porting over an installer to OSX, and in 2011, where they contributed to code analysis tools and developed a native application in Java SWT. Nicholas's work experience also includes a Summer Student position at the Canada Revenue Agency in 2009.

Nicholas Bowen obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Carleton University, where they attended from 2009 until 2014.
