David Leavy has worked in various roles and companies throughout their career. In 2014, they started as an IT Technician at Newry and Mourne District Council, where they worked until 2015. In 2017, they joined Concentrix as an Application Support Analyst and later transitioned to the role of Cisco FrontLine. David remained at Concentrix until 2021. In 2022, they worked as an IT 2nd Line Support Assistant at Carson McDowell before moving on to Progressive Building Society as a Technical Analyst. Currently, they are working as a Software Developer at Reward.

David Leavy attended Queen's University Belfast from 2011 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Information. In addition to their formal education, they also completed the AWS Academy Graduate - AWS Academy Cloud Architecting certification through Amazon Web Services (AWS) in June 2023.
