Jim Skinner is an advisor at RevTech Ventures. Prior to joining RevTech, Skinner served as an independent board member for Acamar Partners Acquisition Corp from February 2020 to January 2021. Jim also previously served as an independent board member for Ares Commercial Real Estate Corp from January 2007 to May 2020, where they chaired the compensation committee, audit committee, and finance committee. Prior to their time with Ares Commercial Real Estate Corp, Skinner served as the CFO for CapRock Communications from January 2000 to December 2000. From January 2018 to December 2020, they also served as an independent board member for Hudson Group. Additionally, Skinner served as the Vice Chairman for Neiman Marcus Group from January 2001 to December 2016. In this role, they were responsible for the company's overall operations, including serving as COO and CFO from 2010 to 2015. Prior to their time with Neiman Marcus Group, Skinner served as EVP CFO for CompUSA from January 1991 to December 2000. Jim began their career as a partner with ERNST&YOUNG in 1975 and remained with the company until 1991.
