Benjamin Agner is an accomplished cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in engineering, security architecture, and leadership. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Cyber Defense Engineering & Innovation at Truist, Benjamin oversees multiple facets of cyber defense, including cloud and email security, security automation, and incident management. As a Co-Founder and Independent Board Director of Rocky Linux and the Rocky Enterprise Software Foundation, Benjamin contributes to community-driven enterprise operating system initiatives. Previous roles include Deputy CISO at Unum, where oversight encompassed global security engineering and compliance, and Director of Security at Aflac, leading significant M&A integrations and security program expansions in Europe. Benjamin's career includes notable positions in IT audit and security at Elliott Davis, systems engineering at Kimbrell’s Furniture, and technology risk consulting with Deloitte.
