Alisar Zahr, PhD has a diverse work experience in research, clinical development, and engineering. From 1998 to 2018, they held roles at Johnson Matthey Pharma Services, Biogen, ALZA Corporation, Penn State University, University of California, Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara Tutors, Schepens Eye Research Institute, Johnson & Johnson, Swiss-American Contract Development and Manufacturing, and Revision Skincare.

At Johnson Matthey Pharma Services, they were an Engineering Intern. At Biogen, they were an Engineer Intern. At ALZA Corporation, they were a Biomedical Engineering Intern. Alisar Zahr, PhD received their PhD in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University in 2007, and their BS in Chemical Engineering from Villanova University in 2002.
