Matthew Ropp has extensive experience in data engineering, with their most recent role being as a Lead Data Engineer at Revenue.io since May 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Data Engineer at ringDNA (rebranded as Revenue.io) from April 2020 to November 2021. Before joining Revenue.io, Matthew had various roles in different companies, including Senior Data Engineer at LERETA, LLC from May 2019 to February 2020, Senior Data Engineer at Wizeline from August 2018 to April 2019, Senior Software Engineer (Data) at OpenX from June 2016 to August 2018, and Senior Software Development Engineer at Yahoo from February 2015 to June 2016. Matthew also worked at Idealab as a Senior Data Warehouse Engineer from April 2006 to October 2007, Yahoo! Search Marketing as a Senior Database Developer from September 2003 to June 2004, and Overture Services as a Senior Database Developer from October 2001 to September 2003. Matthew began their career as a Database Developer at Goto in October 2000, which later became Overture Services.
Matthew Ropp has a diverse education history. Matthew attended Kalamazoo College from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science and Japanese. In 1991, they also pursued an intensive 2nd year summer course in Japanese at the University of Michigan.
Afterwards, Matthew furthered their education at Fuller Theological Seminary from 1996 to 1999. During this time, they earned a Master of Arts degree in Cross Cultural Studies and Missiology. Additionally, in 1992 and 1993, they studied Japanese Studies at Waseda University.
Aside from their formal education, Matthew obtained the AWS Certified Developer - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in March 2019.
