Aftab Ahmed is an experienced journalist with a diverse background in financial reporting and government policy analysis. Currently serving as Team Lead - Govt Policy at Reuters News Agency since December 2018, Aftab has previously held positions as a Special Correspondent at NewsRise Financial Research & Information Services and as a Senior Correspondent at Financial Express, where Aftab covered the Finance Ministry and Indian banks, breaking significant stories on regulations and restructuring. Aftab's career began with REUTERS NEWS, where Aftab stood out for producing a high volume of analytical stories and leading the Research Team. Aftab commenced the journalism journey as a Trainee Reporter at Hindustan Times. Aftab holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from Amity University.
