Michael Butrie is an experienced Highway Design Engineer currently working at RETTEW since August 2017, having progressed from Highway Engineer 2 to Highway Design Engineer 3. Prior to this role, Michael served as Engineer 3 at CDM Smith from December 2016 to August 2017 and worked as a Transportation Engineer at RETTEW from December 2014 to December 2016. Michael's career began at L.R. Kimball as a Transportation Engineer 1 from May 2013 to November 2014, focusing on various aspects of highway geometric design, drainage design, right-of-way, erosion control BMP layout, and preparation of construction and traffic control plans. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering Technology from the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown, earned between 2008 and 2012.
