Rebecca Flannery has a long history of work experience in the field of technical artistry. Rebecca began their career in 2002 as a Computer Science Help Desk Technician at Texas A&M University. In 2007, they became a Technical Artist Intern at Electronic Arts, where they wrote MEL scripts and other tools for artists, and cleaned up, documented, and optimized GPU shaders for multiple football game titles on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. In 2008, they were promoted to Technical Artist at Electronic Arts, where they developed tools and scripts to improve artist workflow, collaborated with artists and software engineers to solve problems and add new features during game development, and shipped titles including Madden NFL 11 (Wii/PSP/PS2), Madden NFL Arcade (XBLA/PSN), NCAA Football 10 (PSP/PS2), Madden NFL 09 (Xbox 360/PS3), and others. In 2011, they moved to Junction Point Studios as a Technical Artist, where they created tools for artists, including Maya plug-ins, took over responsibility for some already existing tools, and debugged export problems and other artist issues. Most recently, in 2013, they joined Retro Studios as a Technical Artist.
Rebecca Flannery received their B.S. in Computer Science from Texas A&M University in 2003 and their M.S. in Visualization Sciences from the same university in 2008.
