Peter Alleyne is an experienced leader in advocacy, equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) within the mental health sector and public service. Currently serving as the Director of Advocacy Services at Rethink Mental Illness, Peter provides strategic leadership across several regions in the UK. Previous roles include Director of EDI and Involvement, and Associate Director of Diversity Equity Inclusion and Race Equality at the same organization, focusing on integrating EDI into services and developing anti-racism initiatives. Peter has also contributed to the Centre for Mental Health as a Board Trustee and ex-Chair of the Equalities and HR subcommittee, and is an EDI Panel Member for the Football Association. Prior positions at the UK Home Office involved leading EDI governance, managing the Windrush Compensation Scheme assessments, and enhancing talent management strategies. Peter holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law.
