Blake McDowell, CPA, has extensive experience in finance, particularly within the restaurant industry. Currently serving as the Director of Finance for Restaurant Brands International since February 2007, Blake has led financial performance for a multi-billion dollar P&L and managed risks to optimize results. Previous roles include Marketing Finance Lead, where accountability for a major marketing fund involved collaboration with marketing leadership on spending efficiency and ROI optimization, and Finance Lead for Global Business Services, successfully integrating ASC 842 lease accounting rules. Blake's career also includes positions focused on improving restaurant financial performance, real estate strategy development, and leading financial planning and analysis. Prior to joining Restaurant Brands, Blake held positions in compliance and internal auditing at Therma Tru and Dana Holding Corporation, and gained foundational experience as a Senior Accountant at William Vaughan Company. Blake holds a BBA/MS in Accounting Information Systems from Eastern Michigan University.
