Fellow, Director Of Social Cost Of Carbon Initiative at Resources for the Future

Kevin Rennert is a seasoned professional in environmental policy and science, currently serving as a Fellow and Director of the Social Cost of Carbon Initiative at Resources for the Future since February 2017, while also holding the position of Deputy Associate Administrator for Policy at the US Environmental Protection Agency since July 2015. Previously, Kevin Rennert worked as a Senior Energy Advisor for the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance under Senator Ron Wyden and as Senior Professional Staff for the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy & Natural Resources. An academic background includes a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science from the University of Washington, complemented by a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Grinnell College. Kevin Rennert's earlier experience includes roles as a Research Associate, Lecturer, Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Washington, and Software Developer and Accelerator Systems Operator at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center.
