Mark Hood has extensive experience in various roles within the architecture and construction industry.
Mark currently works for Resi as the Head of Architecture, a position they have held since November 2022.
Prior to that, Mark was the Head of Projects at www.jacuna.co.uk from December 2021 to November 2022. In this role, they oversaw and directed a team managing the design and construction of new commercial kitchen sites across the UK. Mark also managed three departments within the Projects organization, ensured high-quality standards in the kitchens, engaged with lawyers and clients on legal matters, developed hiring strategies, and reported to the executive team on budgets and timelines. Mark also played a key role in creating and testing new processes to resolve issues and control costs on future sites.
Before joining www.jacuna.co.uk, Mark held several positions at Resi. Mark was the Design and Technical Manager from July 2019 to December 2021, where they led product/process reviews, contributed to commercial reporting, and managed a team of architects and designers. Mark also served as the Head of New Build Development from March 2020 to August 2021, where they set up and grew the New Builds department and managed multiple projects concurrently. Additionally, they served as the Head of Building Regulations from September 2019 to March 2020, where they grew the Building Regulations team and managed a large number of extension projects.
Mark's previous experience before Resi includes working as a Project Architect at Patalab Architecture from September 2017 to October 2018, as an Architect at 3W Architecture Limited from January 2017 to September 2017, and as a Part 2 Architectural Assistant at 3W Architecture Limited from April 2015 to January 2017.
Mark started their career as an Architectural Assistant at TODD Architects + Planners in June 2014.
Mark Hood completed their Master of Architecture (MArch) degree with a specialization in Architecture from Northumbria University between 2012 and 2014. Mark then pursued further education at the University of Nottingham from 2015 to 2016, where they completed their ARB/RIBA Part 3 Professional Practice, although the specific field of study is unavailable.
