Francis Gama, MSc (UK) and BBA (Mw), currently serves as Principal Analyst-Exports Monitoring at the Reserve Bank of Malawi, a position held since October 2011. Francis manages the Exports Monitoring Section, overseeing the processing and reconciliation of export declarations and conducting data analysis on Malawi's exports. Notable achievements include being a core member of the Project Technical Committee for the implementation of a new Cross-border Foreign Exchange Reporting System and participation in the Informal Cross-Border Trade survey since 2014. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Inspector of Authorised Foreign Exchange Dealers, where Francis led compliance monitoring efforts, and Bank Officer in Foreign Exchange Operations, handling various exchange control responsibilities. Francis also worked at the Small Enterprise Development Organisation of Malawi as Senior Credit Officer, managing loan portfolios with a high recovery rate. Francis earned a Master's Degree in International Banking & Development Finance from Bangor University and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Malawi - The Polytechnic.
