Martin Chitimba is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience in software development and systems analysis. Currently serving as an Enterprise Resources Planning Specialist at The Reserve Bank of Malawi since October 2017, Martin has also held roles as a Quality Assurance Specialist and Systems Administrator. Prior to this, Martin worked as a Business Systems Analyst at the Reserve Bank of Malawi from July 2013 to September 2017 and was a Senior Software Engineer at Nitel, where responsibilities included leading a software development team and architecting the Government Payment System. In May 2024, Martin assumed the role of Student Research Assistant at Nottingham Trent University, focusing on Natural Language Processing and the development of AI-based systems. Earlier work experience includes a Systems Analyst/Programmer position at the Department of Information Systems and Technology Management Services, contributing to computer-based systems and managing the Malawi government website. Martin holds an MSc in Computer Science from Nottingham Trent University, expected in October 2024, and a BSc in Computer Science from Chancellor College, completed in 2004.
