Sita Somara, PhD, MBA, serves as the Director of Drug Development, Regulatory Strategy and Product Development at RTI International since November 2021, where responsibilities include drug development, CMC operations, and regulatory affairs. Prior roles include Associate Director of Drug Development at Global Health Technologies and Senior Project Manager for CMC Operations at AstraZeneca. Additionally, Sita Somara held positions as CMC Project Manager at Vigene Biosciences and Project Lead/Staff Scientist at the Manufacturing Development Center, WFIRM. Academic contributions include serving as Graduate Faculty at Wake Forest University and Assistant Professor at the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine. Research experience includes tenure as a Research Investigator and Senior Research Associate at the University of Michigan.
