Angela Bass serves as the MS Regional Executive Director at RePublic Schools, overseeing four schools in Mississippi and focusing on the overall performance, strategic plan implementation, and community partnerships. Previously, Angela was the Executive Director of Mississippi Early Learning Alliance, where a fully operational startup was created from the ground up. Angela has extensive experience in policy research and development as the Deputy Director of Policy at Mississippi First, providing guidance on educational policies and implementing support for charter schools. Early career roles include teaching mathematics in high schools and middle schools, and positions with KIPP Memphis and Teach for America. Angela holds a Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Women's Studies from Spelman College, a Master’s degree in Education Policy and Management from Harvard, and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Mississippi.
