Román Medina-Heigl Hernández is an experienced cybersecurity professional with over two decades of expertise in various security roles. Currently serving as the Head of Cyberintelligence & Offensive Security at Repsol since September 2010, Román has established and developed the Cyberintelligence area, emphasizing offensive security and intelligence capabilities. Previous positions at Repsol include Head of Cyberresilience and SOC service manager, focusing on expanding defensive capabilities and overseeing security monitoring. Prior experience encompasses roles at UOC as a consulting teacher in Computer Security, IECISA as a Security Architect & Consultant, and founding Rooted CON, a prominent Spanish security congress. Early career roles included Project Manager/Security Engineer at Telefónica Móviles España and Chief Security Officer at Batmap, S.A. Román holds an MSc in Telecommunication Engineering from Universidad de Sevilla.
