Tessie Scroggins

Tessie Scroggins has extensive experience in educational financing, particularly in roles supporting veterans and students in higher education. Currently serving as the Assistant Director of Educational Financing for Veterans Benefits at Columbia University School of General Studies since April 2014, Tessie has focused on improving communication regarding VA benefits and providing comprehensive counseling. Previous roles include Assistant Director of Student Financial Services at LIM College and Director of Financial Aid at Columbia University, where responsibilities included financial aid eligibility analysis, policy implementation, and outreach initiatives. Tessie is also actively engaged in volunteer work, having contributed to organizations such as Repair the World, Citymeals-on-Wheels, and DOROT, demonstrating a commitment to community service and support for seniors in need. Tessie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Hispanic Studies from Vassar College.
