Mike Smith is an experienced professional in the biomedical and telecommunications fields, currently serving as the President of Lightwave Telecommunications Services since June 2024, where responsibilities include network engineering and data cabling services. As the owner of MDSmith Biomedical Services since February 2012, Mike provides repairs and preventive maintenance for hospital medical equipment, ensuring necessary documentation for audits and inspections. Previously, Mike held the position of Biomedical Engineering Manager at Hendrick Health from October 2010 to January 2024 and worked as a Field Service Engineer at Hologic, Inc., LaserSight, and Gambro, as well as a Bmet at Methodist Health System. Mike holds an Associate of Science degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Texas State Technical College Waco, earned in 1994.
