Phyllis Henderson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public service and nonprofit development. Currently serving as a Commissioner for Renewable Water Resources since January 2022, Henderson has also been a Development Specialist at Roper Mountain Science Center since November 2017, focusing on grant writing, fundraising, and community engagement. Henderson's political career includes serving as a Republican Member of the South Carolina House of Representatives for District 21 from January 2011 to November 2018, and as a Council Member and Chairman (2003-2004) for the County of Greenville. Henderson managed the Carly for President campaign in South Carolina as State Director from October 2015 to February 2016. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Affairs from Indiana University Bloomington, a Grant Writing Certification from the University of South Carolina, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Cincinnati.
