Nate van Geest is an experienced professional in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as Director of Development at RES since November 2024. Previously, Nate held the position of Head of Operations at Solar Provider Group and Associate Vice President of Strategic Development at SkyPower Global, where significant accomplishments included closing long-term power purchase agreements for over 1 GW of solar PV, raising over $200 million in capital, and managing substantial acquisitions in emerging markets. Earlier in the career, Nate contributed to project management at GE Water and served as a MARS Officer in the Canadian Navy, honing leadership and decision-making skills under pressure. Nate holds an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Project Management certificate from The University of British Columbia.
