Alexandru Macovei is an experienced leader in software engineering and management, currently serving as Director of Software Engineering at Renesas Electronics since June 2023, where responsibilities include managing a global organization and overseeing the global portfolio of Engineering Tools. Prior to this role, Alexandru worked at Aptiv from May 2018 to June 2023 as Engineering Manager for Global Engineering Tools, where tasks included building engineering teams and managing a $20 million budget, alongside leading an Agile transformation. Alexandru's earlier positions include Configuration Manager at SMR Automotive Global, HELLA, and Continental, and team leadership in software and system engineering for Autonomous Driving OEM programs. Alexandru holds a Bachelor's Degree in Automation and Computer Engineering and is pursuing an M.B.A. at Universitatea Politehnica din TimiÅŸoara.
