Dr. Zoccali’s research interests cover hypertension, cardiovascular complications in CKD, renal disease progression, and the epidemiology of renal diseases. He has contributed over 800 PubMed-indexed publications in peer-reviewed journals and as of December 16th, 2021 he has a Hirsh Index (Google Scholar) of 111. Dr. Zoccali is Editor Emeritus of Nephrology, Dialysis, and Transplantation (2011-2017) and he is an active editorial board member of CJASN, Am J Kidney Diseases, Hypertension, J Hypertension, European J Clin Investigation, J Clinical Medicine, Clinical Nephrology and other internal medicine and nephrology journals.
